Don’t get bitten or spanked while naked - Urban Decay Lip Ink
I almost died waiting for these to come in stock. I compulsively checked Sephora and Urban Decay’s website waiting for the silly “place in basket” link to show. One magical day, it did. I only wanted Naked (the brownish natural lip color one) but in my excitement, I grabbed Bitten, too (the blood red version). This is not your average lip stain.
It is in magic-marker form. You can’t just put a little on and then smear it. No, you actually have to draw it all over your lips exactly like a marker. If you’re not careful, it can go on too dark and you can make mistakes Just remember to have a light hand and you’ll be ok. My only fear is that it will dry out in time just like a marker.
The Naked color is truly genius. If you do it light enough, it is the perfect nude. It stays on for hours and hours. Your lips but better, as they say. You might need a balm or gloss to keep your lips from drying out.
Bitten wasn’t such a hit.
The initial color is a true dark blood red. It could be good if the situation calls for it. Unfortunately, I have no situations in which to wear that dark and that intense of a lip. A bad side was it wore off to a fuchsia pink and I finally had to remove it with my toothbrush and toothpaste.
Overall, Naked good, Bitten ok. I like the product enough to maybe try the potentially obnoxious pink color, Spank. This product is really hot right now so kudos to you if you catch one.
I can't find these anywhere's these days. Surprise, surprise. Since Urban Decay was at the fore front of putting magic markers on your lips, many others have followed.
Best replacement would be CoverGirl Outlast Lip Markers or my new favorite e.l.f. Main Stain Lip Marker
