Lip products are by far my most favorite thing to try. Cheap, (usually) easy and they don’t cause any repercussions if they don’t work. I should probably buy stock in these 3 items because I could keep these companies afloat single handed.

Cocoacare Cocoa Butter Lip Balm
It’s going on almost 15 years with Cocoacare Lip balm. By far the best “Chapstick” ever invented. I buy them 10 at a time. One in my purse, one in my desk, my coat, my pocket, my kid’s room, my boyfriend’s dresser. You can find them at most Walgreen’s (although they deliberately hide them in the baby section for some reason.) for $1.29. Literally on autoship, cannot live without.
C.O. Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm
It’s only been 2 years for this one, but it does an amazing job at staying on all night. (Hence the name) I don’t just use it at night, however. This one stands up to super cold and windy Chicago winters and no-humidity offices. Very thick and petroleum jelly esque, but with much more staying power. Holds in hydration with a slight plumping effect for that reason. $10.00, I get it from Amazon, but they also have it at Bath and Body Works.
Dermalogica Lip Renewal Complex
I almost wish I never found this one. I love the product but hate the price. But I HAVE to have it. $26 a tube that only lasts a month means some months I don’t get to buy it. And then my lips are sad. I use it the morning and right before bed (and then apply CO Bigelow My Favorite Night Balm on top to seal it in, of course) I used to carry it with me, but I used it too often and it lasted 2 weeks. The applicator is nice, yet wasteful at the same time. Dermalogica has other awesome stuff, but again, I get mine off of Amazon (or I used to).
